Hello, I must be going

Was it july when I last updated this blog ?  This could be the last blog that I write or not!  Think I’ve lost interest in doing it, spending more time on Twitter, don’t know if that’s a good or bad thing ?  Anyway nobody reads these blogs of mine so why should I bother updating when no one is reading!!!  Turning in to a bit of a moan now ?  That will do for now, post this and see what happens.

ONE MONTH ON!

This is my first blog for a month, it’s been a bit up and down over that time! Just to much to go into here ?.

Anyway I’v got a week off to look forward to, going out places and just enjoying myself. Talking of going out I’v been out nearly every Saturday taking the camera with me! Check out the link to the right of this blog http://www.flickr.com/photos/over40something

Imperial War Museum

On the 6th of June 2009 I went to the Imperial War Museum, well you’re saying people go to museums all the time ? but this date is the 65th Anniversary of the military operation in Normandy or D-Day as it was known!  I had already planned to go, then realizing it would be the Anniversary made it more special.

The museum is a good source of information, if you want to know what life was like in the two world wars and a insight into all things military.

It’s a good day out and well worth a visit if you come to London, they cover all types of warfare from many country’s, with story’s and photos from people who were there.

1 Week On

It’s been 1 week since my last blog, so what’s happened in that time ?  Well it was a 4 day working week which flew by so fast!  Work wise there were no problems, no major upsets to speak off !!  Over all I had a good week.

So we come to this weekend ?  I had a good weekend the weather was sunny and hot, saturday was like any other I got up early to get my hair cut, I was there before 8am and back home by 8:20, a quick wash of the hair then onto the supermarket to buy food for my diet.  I got a Birthday Card for my Sister in law, I always buy a funny one!  With the shopping done it was back home for a bit of a rest before going to get Pie & Mash for dinner, after that the FA Cup would be starting at 3pm.  Saturday evening was taken up with Britain’s Got Talent – The Final.

Sunday and I’m up just after 7am, having a day out and going to Greenwich with my new camera!  Leaving home about 9am I head for the train station, the train gets to Greenwich at 10am.  Armed with my camera I set off around Greenwich taking pictures as I go!  After walking around by the Thames I head for the park and make my way to the Royal Observatory which is up on top of the hill.  The Meridian Line is there, also it’s where GMT comes from (Greenwich Mean Time) which was used from the 1880’s.  Once I had finished looking around the Observatory, I set off around the rest of the park!  It was early afternoon when I left for home, getting in gone 3pm.  Dinner on and time for a shower, then a read of the Sunday Papers!  In all it was good weekend, what with the weather being hot, it made a change from the old routine.

So another week begins, roll on the weekend 1 week on.

Bank Holiday Weekend

It’s Monday evening and the end of the 3 day holiday! Weather wise Sunday was the best day, as you can see from the picture! Yes I have a new camera.

Looking after my brothers dog for a few days, it’s been a long time since there was a dog in the house.

Back to work tomorrow, at least it’s only a 4 day week! Been tired today and slept most of the afternoon ? Can’t think why I was so tired, only hope I don’t get like it when I’m in work tomorrow.

That’s it really, a 3 day break that goes by so quick then it’s back to work! Just have to wait till August for the next one.

So that was my Bank Holiday weekend, just relaxing walking the dog and sleeping in the afternoon, oh yes I’v lost a bit more weight! Few more pounds should do it and then I’ll be at my ideal weight, but I’ll save that for another blog.

The weather was good today!

Had a really good day!  As you can see from the pic, the weather was sunny and warm with a bit of cloud.

Work was ok, no problems at all which makes a change ?  In a really great mood at the moment, the weekend is coming up, it’s a bank holiday! so a three day break awaits.

Not much else to add, hope tomorrow is the same ?  

Things are looking up for me, onwards and upwards as they say!

Lazy Weekend

Not had a bad week, glad the weekend is here! Stayed off twitter, well when I say off I spent just over an hour on Saturday night! I was up just after 9am, went to the supermarket and got some bits for my diet to have at work for lunch! Back home and court up on my reading, watched the football on sky sports and had dinner at the same time! Fell asleep late afternoon for a few hours, woke up about 5pm ready for the evening! Watched some tv then put a blu ray film on which took me up to 11pm, then I went on twitter and bed afterwards.

Sunday and up at 9am again, went down stairs and weighed myself, I’v lost 3lbs which I’m happy about! Breakfast was toast, brown bread, remember I am on a diet! So I’v got my toast and the sunday papers and that’s my morning sorted! Dinner would be ready at 1pm, so I go and shower! Dinner out of the way, so now I can catch up on my recored tv which will use up the afternoon! Sunday evening now as I right this blog, and just time to finish before the last Ep of Lost comes on, it’s a 2 hour show tonight!

That’s my lazy weekend.

2 Days On

Two days on from my last blog!  Been tired, falling asleep early evening!  Don’t know why this is happening, maybe the long days are catching up with me?

I was having a good day, work was fined no problems got an early finish and a lift home, then something happened tonight that nearly changed everything!  It was a misunderstanding that nearly got out of hand!  One sentence that could have pulled two friends apart.

I think it’s cleared up now, but it’s left me wondering about myself and the things I say as a joke?  This really is playing on my mind now!  I just don’t know what to do?  Should I carry on or just stop all together? All I do is hurt people when I try to be funny, and it’s gone beyond the joke.

The Sun Came Back

Had a much better day, looks like I’m over my dark place!  Work was ok today, no problems to speak of all went smoothly.

Really not much more I can say, feeling a lot better been on twitter enjoying myself again!  The Sun came back and I found my smile again.

So that was Monday, now to get through the rest of the week?
